Born in Belleville Ontario and lived in Venezuela, Switzerland and California, USA. Chris moved to Vancouver as a teenager and studied painting, printmaking and design at the Vancouver School of Art (now Emily Carr University of Art and Design). He presently divides his time between homes in Vancouver and Qualicum Beach BC Canada.
Chris is also a musician and played in numerous rock bands. His interest in graphic design evolved from early work designing and illustrating posters for his bands' gigs, which in turn led him to magazine art direction and design. Credits include Vancouver Magazine, Western Living Magazine and Trek-The Magazine of the University of British Columbia.
His artwork can be found in the collections of the Vancouver Art Gallery, The National Gallery of Canada, Canada Council Art Bank, The City of Vancouver, numerous galleries and private collections.
His focus is the evolution of popular culture . . . rock 'n roll, collectible cars and motorcycles, sports and entertainment and our fascination with these icons. He paints traditionally in oil on canvas.
